Meet the Author.
(it’s me. I’m the author).
At 6 I horrified my mother. I told her that when I grew up, I was going to be a starving artist. Even then, I thought the idea of suffering for your art was surely the most romantic dream for my tender creative’s heart to follow.
In elementary school a teacher liked a poem I wrote and encouraged me to pursue my art through writing. From that moment I filled floppy discs and composition notebooks with my short stories, poems, and personal ramblings. I was going to write a novel one day, young me dreamed.
I loved the craft so much I studied it in college, graduating with a degree in Creative Writing from Queens University of Charlotte (again, horrifying my parents with such an impractical choice). In 2020, I finally fulfilled little me’s dream, completing my first novel. I’m going to publish that novel, and more.
I am an artist (not starving, thank God). And while there’s plenty of artsy suffering that goes into crafting the perfect sentence, battling imposter syndrome, and gathering the courage to share my work, I am excited about what lies ahead, fulfilled by the stories I’ve put on paper.

The Moms Who Write are back in the second installment of their anthology series. These personal essays, poems, and photographs tell the stories of the women who defined us - the women who weren’t afraid to break the rules. Proceeds go to Women for Women Interational, an amazing organization dedicated to supporting women survivors of war and conflict, teaching them the skills they need to rebuild their lives, families, and homes.
